Upon founding Biofiber Tech, our focus was on identifying highly scalable raw material sources. Being based in Sweden, we naturally gravitated towards sustainably managed pine and spruce. A crucial aspect of our choice was the existence of a scalable infrastructure capable of consistently producing high-quality raw materials. This foundation is pivotal for our mission to supply the plastic industry with sustainable, scalable solutions.
Focusing on China, the world's largest plastic producer, is strategic for making a substantial global impact. By introducing sustainable alternatives here, we can significantly reduce the reliance on fossil-based plastics and cut carbon emissions on a scale unmatched by targeting smaller markets. This deliberate choice underscores our commitment to driving substantial environment change where it matters most, leveraging China's vast manufacturing capabilities for the greater global good.
This spring we will participate in Chinaplas 2024, scheduled for April 23-26 in Shanghai, the leading plastic and rubber trade fair globally. It focuses on smart manufacturing, innovative materials, and green & circular solutions, showcasing advancements in injection moulding, and recycling technologies among others, aiming to enhance sustainability in the plastics and rubber industries. Last year’s fair boosted about having 250 000 visitors.
